Maintenance

1. The drive components that support the fuel tank are generally referred to as the vehicle chassis. Drivers typically have a better understanding of this. The issue is that after equipping the tanker with a fuel pump, we install a drive shaft and power take-off unit from the engine. For these two devices, special attention is required during operation. Improper handling can render the power take-off unit unusable.

2. For the use and maintenance of the fuel pump, strictly adhere to the fuel pump operation and maintenance instructions provided with the vehicle.

3. Strictly follow the operating manual provided with the fuel dispenser for its use and maintenance.

4. If fuel discharge is slow or fuel cannot be drawn, inspect the safety valve and filter screen. These should be regularly checked and cleaned.

5. The fuel tank and piping system should be cleaned periodically. Regularly inspect whether the joints in the piping system are properly connected and whether the seals are reliable.

6. To maintain tank cleanliness, periodically clean the tank and fuel delivery system. Frequently lubricate the inner and outer fittings at both ends of the fuel hose to facilitate disassembly and assembly. After each operation, promptly secure the inlet/outlet end caps (plugs) and both ends of the fuel hose (plugs).

7. Fuel loading must not exceed the rated loading capacity (calculated based on fuel density).

8. Media passing through ball valves should not be excessively contaminated to protect seals and extend valve lifespan. Avoid prolonged operation in partially open/closed positions, as this accelerates seal degradation. During transit, keep all ball valve handles in the closed position.

9. Regularly disassemble and clean pump inlet screens to prevent sludge buildup that could clog filters and reduce flow.

10. Keep breather valves clean and fully functional. The spring within the valve should not be replaced arbitrarily, as this may impair venting and degassing functionality. A blocked vent valve poses a risk of tank deformation.

11. To prevent fire incidents on tank trucks, avoid striking any components with metal objects when exhaust pipes, mufflers, or fuel lines are damaged, or when wiring is broken or frayed, to prevent spark generation. Firefighting equipment must be readily available on the tank truck at all times.

12. If the sedimentation tank beneath the fuel tank freezes, do not use open flames to thaw it. Instead, employ hot steam to melt the ice or move the vehicle to a warm environment for thawing.

13. Before refueling operations, the static dissipation rod must be inserted into damp ground, and the grounding strap must be properly connected. Maintain continuous static dissipation throughout the operation.

14. Inspect fire extinguisher units before leaving the vehicle. Users of fuel trucks should be familiar with extinguisher operation and perform inspections and maintenance according to instructions.

15. Before tanker operations, check the pipeline system for oil leaks, verify grounding wires are intact, and inspect vent pipes for damage. Address any issues before commencing work.

16. When measuring fuel, follow relevant regulations. In winter, if water is present in the self-priming pump, drain it completely to prevent pump freezing.

17. When entering a fuel tank for work, ensure adequate ventilation and have a spotter outside the tank. If necessary, clean the tank with soapy water before operation.
